OSRS 4 Best F2P Quests

We believe that Free-to-Play mode offers online players some of the best quests. The character gameplay and writing are excellent, making it a great way for new players to explore the OSRS world. That’s primarily the reason why we have put a together guide to introduce the best 4 quests in F2P.

The Knights Sword

This OSRS Quest is a fan favorite for quite a few reasons. You’ll see yourself running around a lot, and if you’re low in combat level, make sure you have food on you to get past Ice Giant and Warriors. You need to do so to get the Bluerite Sword, which isn’t a strong weapon but it’s worthwhile as a free player. The biggest appeal is that it offers 12,275 Smithing XP, which is enough to get you straight to level 29.

You can start the quest by heading to the White Knight’s Castle in Falador, and speaking with the Squire. He’ll ask you to speak to Reldo at the Varrock Palace. Make sure you pick a Redberry, 3x Iron Bars, and a Pickaxe on your way there.

You can find Reldo at the north end of the palace. He’ll ask you to speak to a Dwarf in Port Sarim. You’ll have to head to the southwesternmost tip of the peninsula (below Port Sarim) to locate and speak to Thurgo. Give him a Redberry Pie and continue questioning about the Knight’s Sword before heading back to the Squire again.

Head up to Sir Vyvin’s room next and search his cupboard. You have to do it when he’s not looking at you. Once done, head back to Thurgo and make sure you have food on you for the next part. Hand the picture over to him and head into the Ice Dungeon. Walk ahead until you see snow, and then turn your Run on to quickly mine two Blurite Ores.

Head back to Thurgo again, and he’ll make you a sword. You can drop it and speak to him to get a second one for yourself. With two swords in your inventory, return to the Squire to complete the quest.

The Restless Ghost

Another all-time favorite quest among the free players is The Restless Ghost. It’s located at the starting point of the game (Lumbridge) and many players often start the quest while exploring the area. You are granted 1,125 Prayer XP upon completion of the quest, which isn’t bad!

Start the quest by speaking to the Priest in the chapel south of the city (next to the graveyard). He’ll inform you about a ghost haunting the graveyard and ask you to speak to Father Urnhey. You can find him west of the Lumbridge Swamp in a small shack.

Speak to him to get a Ghost Speak Amulet. Return to the graveyard and enter the crypt (south corner). Search the coffin to trigger a ghost spawn. He’ll send you to the Wizard’s Tower, after which you need to head to the basement and search the altar for a skull.

A skeleton will also appear, but you can just ignore it and head back up. Now make your way back to the Graveyard and speak to the ghost again to complete the quest. Ta-da! Easy 9 levels in Prayer.

Sheep Shearer

The quest Sheep Shearer may not be that rewarding as compared to the two mentioned above, but it is one of the simplest quests in the game with no requirements at all. You need to north of Lumbridge to locate a chicken farm where you’ll find Fred the Farmer.

He’ll want you to get him 20 Balls of Wool, and we recommend you purchase it directly from the Grand Exchange or a General Store. Alternatively, you can shear a sheep south of his house and spin it using the wheel at Lumbridge Castle (second floor). Give the asked items to Fred to complete the quest.

Cook’s Assistant

Another fairly easy quest is the Cook’s Assistant where you have to bring a Pot of Flour, an Egg, and a Bucket of Milk to the Cook at Lumbridge Castle. You can choose to purchase them at a General Store or the Grand Exchange.

Alternatively, you can acquire the items yourself. Pick a pot from the kitchen table and purchase a bucket from the General Store. Milk a cow by heading east of the city. Pick an egg from the chicken coup which is right next to the cow field. You can also find chickens north of Lumbridge.

To make flour, you need to pick grains from the fields north of Lumbridge, and then head to the top floor of the mill to pull the lever. Head back to the bottom floor and use your pot to fill it up with flour. Finally, with all the items in your inventory, speak to the Cook and the quest will be completed.
